She is fast approaching. The Aguttes 2022 Summer Sale will be held at the very end of the month. And between convertibles and pure sports cars, we really feel summer in this catalogue!

The Aguttes Summer Sale 2022

The car exhibition will return to the Espace Champerret where the cars will be visible on Friday June 24 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday 25 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 26 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The sale will take place on Sunday 26, from 2 p.m. in Neuilly.

It’s a big catalog of 77 lots that will be offered with 71 cars and 6 motorcycles. And the catalog is particularly well supplied.

The Mahul Collection

Several complete collections will be dispersed during the Aguttes 2022 Summer Sale. But one of them is particularly remarkable, especially since one of the cars is on the cover of the catalog. We are talking here about that of Pierre-Henry Mahul. This lover of the old ones since childhood has assembled a magnificent collection.

Among them, Panhards. Some may remember seeing the frail barquette at Le Mans Classic. This car is therefore on the cover of the catalog of the sale. It’s a DB HBR Le Mans, a factory car that raced the classic in 1957. It has a solid track record, from the Tour de France to the Speed Cups. Restored in detail, it is ready for new races and estimated between 250 and 350,000 €.

We do not stop there at the twin-cylinder level since we will also find a Panhard CD from 1964, also prepared for historic races and already entered in the Le Mans Classic, it is estimated between 70 and 90,000 €.

We continue with a Panhard PL17 Cabriolet with Tiger engine from 1965, in very good condition, estimated between 45 and 75,000 €.

We continue with a 1965 PL17 Break, perfect to accompany the barquette on the circuits (est. €16-24,000), a restored 24CT with a rather rare configuration (est. €16-20,000) and finally a DB Le Mans convertible from 1958, rare, patinated and functional (est. €35-55,000).

But the collection does not stop at these cars! As we are not going to show you everything, we have made our selection of 5 original or superb models.

We start with a CG 1300S from 1972. A car prepared for the historic race, and it shows, estimated between 45 and 65,000 €.

We continue with a Citroën DS 23 IE Confort from 1974, recently reviewed and estimated between 25 and 45,000 €.
More original, a 1960 Ford Zephyr Cabriolet, rare (350 copies), to be serviced, this car is estimated between 25 and 45,000 €.
Sportier, a Singer 9 Le Mans Special Speed from 1936 which ran on its release… in trials! The car is eligible in many events and estimated between 40 and 60,000 €.
We end with a big coupé: a Fiat 130 Coupé from 1977, equipped with the V6 Dino, it is in good working order and estimated between 18 and 25,000 €.

The stars of the sale

After this big collection, we move on to the big estimates of the Aguttes 2022 Summer sale. On this side, too, there is heavy!

We start with a 1989 25th anniversary Lamborghini Countach, a special car since it belonged to Gerhard Berger. Relatively low mileage, with perfect maintenance and the highest estimate in the catalogue: between 350 and 450,000 €.

Then we find a Bugatti Type 35A, a car already seen during the Aguttes sale of the Tour Auto 2022. This replica carefully built by Pierre Dellière from a few original parts but above all with remanufacturing. The car is beautiful, efficient, but will need an overhaul. On the other hand, its price is very attractive: the estimate is between 280 and 380,000 €.

Third star, and fourth estimate of the catalog of the Aguttes 2022 Summer sale, a Venturi 400 Trophy. Built for the championship dedicated to these cars, it scored several podiums and finished 2nd in 1992. Something quite rare: the car was homologated, on an isolated basis, for road use in 2005! It is estimated between 120 and 180,000 €.

our selection

We now move on to our selection in the catalog of the Aguttes 2022 Summer sale. As usual, we have a selection of 5 cars.

We start with a Frenchwoman, a Clio Williams from 1995. It is one of those bombinettes with very few kilometers that Aguttes loves to unearth: this one has only 15km on the clock! Sold in Naples, this series 2 nevertheless offers a plaque on the dashboard with its chassis number! The estimate is enormous: between 45 and 65,000 €!

We then move on to an older car. Even if these are not its original colors, the configuration of this Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint is superb. It is estimated between 38 and 45,000 €.

We find another Italian sports car, another Alfa, but more recent, a 75 Turbo from 1987 with a good state of preservation and an estimate of between 20 and 30,000 €.

Another Italian and lower automobile estimate of this Aguttes 2022 Summer sale, a Fiat Cinquecento Sporting from 1995, very well preserved and estimated between 6,000 and 10,000 €.

We end with a last car, another Italian, from the Mahul collection, a Lancia Aurelia B20 GT from 1955. This series IV has the particularity of being in the same configuration as the Aurelia from Tintin’s album “L ‘Sunflower Affair’. This car is in good condition and estimated between 120 and 160,000 €.
