Innovation and Economic Development Trois-Rivières is launching a sports pass to offer eleven activities to do on the territory.

The objective of the Exalt pass is to convince its holders from outside to extend their stay or plan a new one later.

“The sports and outdoor experiences offered by the card are so numerous that it is impossible to do everything in a day or two. So it’s a wonderful excuse to come back. This is a great opportunity for residents of Trois-Rivières to take advantage of the various sites at an affordable price, and why not try new experiences,” explained the tourism coordinator at IDE Trois-Rivières, Daniel Rioux.

With a total value of $200 but offered at an introductory price of $79 plus tax, the Exalt pass will be available virtually.

IDE Trois-Rivières expects to sell between 250 and 500 cards. This is a pilot project that could last between 12 and 24 months.

“It’s there to highlight the outdoor attractions that were more unknown, but that the pandemic has brought us to know,” added the head of sports tourism at IDE Trois-Rivières, Jean-Philippe Lemay.

This initiative comes at a time when outdoor activities are more popular than ever.

“We have noticed, for the past few years, a great enthusiasm for our trails and our facilities as well as for the outdoors in general. The pass will be one more opportunity to showcase outdoor attractions like ours,” said Énergie CMB General Manager Charles Hébert.

The organization will invest more than half a million dollars in the near future to adapt to the high demand. The parking lot will be expanded as will the main building. Energie CMB, which is the tenant of most of the land where its trails are located, could eventually acquire part of the land.
