Whatever the fashion of the moment, steel watches with a sporty spirit always have a knack for staying on trend. Here are three pieces with a timeless design that will dress slender wrists with strength and elegance.

At TAG Heuer, the Aquaracer Professional 200 is the all-terrain luxury watch for everyday wear. It is available in various ladies’ versions with a diameter of 30 mm, including this edition fitted with a light blue sunburst satin-brushed dial. Powered by a quartz movement, it is water resistant to 200 meters and has a unidirectional rotating bezel. A bezel whose style matches the case.

Change of style with the 32 mm Black Bay, which owes its vintage look to Tudor watches created for frogmen between the 1950s and 1970s. While the original rotating bezel gave way to a fixed, smooth bezel, this automatic edition, water-resistant to 150 meters, features the characteristic Black Bay snowflake-type hour hand.

With the Evolution 9 White Birch Spring Drive model, Grand Seiko offers a 40 mm diameter instrument with a particular face. Water-resistant to 100 meters, it houses a dial whose color and texture are inspired by the white birch forests located on the Hiraniwa plateau in northern Japan. Visible on the back, the electromechanical Spring Drive caliber features an astonishing ‘frosted’ finish and offers five days of power reserve.

Grand Seiko, SLGA009: €9,500.

TAG Heuer, Aquaracer 200: 1,850 euros.

Tudor, Black Bay 32: €2,770.
