Czech police said on Thursday they had asked a prosecutor to charge 21 people and a company in a match-fixing case that allegedly took place in lower football divisions. This criminal proceeding concerns “crimes of corruption, acceptance of bribes, embezzlement and participation in an organized criminal group”said the police in a tweet.
Last year, a court in Prague sentenced Miroslav Pelta, former president of the FACR, to six years in prison for manipulation of sports subsidies.
