Provisions on the sporting economic model complete the text.

The national platform to fight against rigged sports betting, which already exists, is enshrined in law. To combat illegal sports betting, the government via an amendment, replaced the judicial blockage illegal gambling sites by a administrative blockagewhich will allow the president of the National Gaming Authority (ANJ) to draw up the black list of websites which should be blocked by internet service providers.

The text also provided for a device aimed at combating the illegal streaming in sports, who has been set up in the meantime by the law of October 25, 2021 on the regulation and protection of access to cultural works in the digital age.

At the initiative of the senators, sports clubs will be able to extend the first professional contracts of players from 3 to 5 years, subject to a collective disciplinary agreement. A decree is planned.

The deputies finally opened the possibility for professional leagues to create a commercial companybacked by an investment fund, to manage sports rights. However, such a company cannot be created without the agreement of the delegated sports federation. The league can only sell 20% of its capital to an investor. This provision aims to respond to the difficulties experienced by professional clubs to ensure their financial sustainability, at a time when their model is threatened by the economic consequences of the health crisis.
