Women’s rugby has nothing of the clichés we know about it. ” It’s a big family. There are a lot of beginners. This means that we don’t come across imposing girls who are going to come and make us miserable. In addition, we are super well supervised by two coaches, Jordan and Frederic, who make us progress in a dazzling way and who attach great importance to adapting to a female core”.
Good development prospects
In addition to participating in a rugby sevens championship with Guadeloupe and the Northern Islands, the Archigirls are often asked to participate in Guadeloupe’s selection matches to face island teams like Martinique. “We had 4 girls who were selected to represent Guadeloupe,” adds Fanny. “Besides the selections, rugby leads us to travel to the West Indies but also to Saint-Barthélemy where we have an agreement with the local club to compensate for our lack of staff. So we train with them too.”
