The Yvelines department placed on alert Orange heat wave

Météo-France has placed the Yvelines department on heatwave orange vigilance for a phenomenon of high heat starting this Friday, June 17, 2022 at 4 p.m.

The heat wave will intensify, so tomorrow, Saturday June 18, 2022, temperatures could reach 40°C in the department, with nights between 18 and 20°C.

The prefect put the emergency and rescue services on alert.

The municipalities get in touch with the vulnerable people (elderly, isolated or disabled) in their territory, to ensure that they are well and do not lack anything, or if not, to remedy them as soon as possible. They invite vulnerable people to declare themselves.

An information toll-free number is also available to the public until the end of the heat wave, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.: 0800 06 66 66 (free call from a landline in mainland France).
