- Justice officials from five Western countries, forming the so-called alliance of “Five Eyes” (United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and United Kingdom), announced Thursday to support the legal action of Ukraine aimed at judging war crimes linked to the Russian invasion. Ministers of Justice or Attorneys General said in a statement ” sustain “ Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova’s action to hold accountable those responsible for “war crimes committed during the Russian invasion”.
- Moscow announced on Thursday the expulsion of five Portuguese diplomats, in retaliation for that of ten Russian diplomats decided by Lisbon in the wake of the Russian offensive in Ukraine. The Kremilin had already announced on Wednesday the expulsion of 34 French diplomats, 24 Italian diplomats and 27 Spanish diplomats.
- Thursday evening, the American Congress validated aid of 40 billion dollars (37.7 billion euros) for Ukraine. Within this envelope, six billion dollars should enable Ukraine to equip itself with armored vehicles and strengthen its anti-aircraft defence.
