Fifth President of Moldova Igor Dodon sent to jail (video)
Law enforcement officers escorted the fifth president of Moldova, Igor Dodon, to the pre-trial detention center. He was detained on suspicion of treason.

A white minibus was driven to the politician’s house, where he was put by employees of the Information and Security Service of Moldova. At that moment, a rally was held near the politician’s house, at which people chanted “Jail!”
Dodon calmly got into the car and did not make any statements. He was reportedly detained for 72 hours. According to a representative of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, two more people were detained in this case.
As UNIAN previously reported, on May 24, anti-corruption prosecutors, together with employees of the National Anti-Corruption Center and the Information and Security Service, searched the house of the fifth President of Moldova, Igor Dodon, who distinguished himself by excessive loyalty to his Russian colleague Vladimir Putin. In addition, investigative actions were also carried out in real estate owned by intermediaries.
The searches were carried out as part of the case of passive corruption, illegal enrichment, treason and financing of the Socialist Party by a criminal organization.
