During a great day of sports, fun and sharing, some 200 schoolchildren discovered new sporting activities and learned to act together to go further.

The 200 pupils of the Desnoyer elementary school went to the National Union of Outdoor Sports Centers (UCPA) in Saint-Cyprien to discover, all together, innovative sports very rarely practiced at school: tchoukball, lacrosse Quebec, scratch ball, ultimate, beach basketball, sandball, slackline, US football, precision football, motor skills course…

The day was coordinated by Rayane from the School of Sports, Activities and Tourism (Emsat) in Saleilles as part of her Professional Certificate in Youth, Popular Education and Sport (BPjeps) .

The children were accompanied by their teachers and parents, while the various activities were supervised by Emsat students.

In the continuity of the common thread of the year “Alone we go faster, together we go further”, this sports day allowed students to surpass themselves, cooperate and help each other without ranking to share an unforgettable moment. As Mrs. Laurent, director of the Desnoyer school, points out, “the children were able to fully understand the meaning of this sentence: I don’t have to be stronger than the other, but I am stronger thanks to the other”.
