Météo France has just placed the Lot-et-Garonne department on ORANGE heat wave vigilance.

The prefect informed the mayors and requested the activation of municipal safeguard plans. All State services are mobilized.


Weather forecast for Lot-et-Garonne:

Today, temperatures are between 31 and 35°C.

The very strong heat persists and intensifies over the next few days.

Tomorrow, Thursday June 16, the minimum temperatures will vary between 16 and 21°C and the maximum will reach 34 to 38°C.

Friday, June 17, the heat increases with minimums of 17 to 23°C and maximums that can reach 40°C.

The prefect calls on everyone to be extremely vigilant.


Faced with high temperatures, adopt the right reflexes:

• Drink water regularly,

• Continue to eat normally,

• Avoid going out during the hottest hours (11am-9pm) and if you have to go out, wear a hat and light clothing,

• Wet your body several times a day,

• Avoid physical activities and sports,

• Keep your home cool, close windows and shutters during the day,

• Do not drink alcohol,

• Give and hear from your loved ones,

• Take care of the most vulnerable groups: the elderly, babies and young children by ensuring that they are hydrated. For the elderly suffering from chronic illness, or isolated in your entourage, hear from them and visit them.
