The Haute-Saône department is placed in orange vigilance for a risk of heat wave, from Saturday June 18 at 12 p.m.
Saturday will indeed be marked by the arrival of a particularly warm air mass. Temperatures can reach 36 to 39 degrees in the afternoon in the plain. The night from Saturday to Sunday will not allow effective cooling of homes since temperatures will often not drop below 20 degrees.
Forecasts indicate that temperatures will remain very high on Sunday.
In this context, Michel Vilbois, prefect of Haute-Saône, calls for “everyone’s vigilance and recalls the good reflexes to adopt to protect themselves and ensure the health of the most fragile in the face of heat”:
Drink water regularly without waiting to be thirsty and eat normally. Do not drink alcohol;
Avoid physical activities and sports;
Avoid going out during the hottest hours;
Wet your body (at least your face and forearms) several times a day;
Go to a cool or air-conditioned place 2-3 hours a day (store, library, cinema, etc.)
Close windows and shutters during the day and ventilate at night to keep your home cool;
Give regular news to your loved ones and, when necessary, dare to ask for help;
If you are a vulnerable person, report to your town hall;
In case of discomfort or behavioral disorder, call a doctor;
If you want to cool off with a swim, choose supervised bathing areas and get into the water gradually.
The organizers of sporting and cultural events are called upon to be vigilant in the organization of the events for which they are responsible and are invited to disseminate the recommendations to the public.
Particular vigilance is recommended for fragile people: people over 65, people with disabilities or sick at home, dependent people, infants, young children, pregnant women.
