The Scorpion brand presented its new range of small sports cars, including redesigned engines.
“Transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary”. It is in these terms that the Italian brand unveiled its new range for 2022. The latter concerns the models 595 and 695 ofAbarth. If the external evolution of the models is light, on the other hand under the hood things change. The 595 now has an engine 165 hp and the 695 now displays 180 hp. Something to always get more pleasure.
The 595 goes up a notch
New 16 inch alloy wheels, chrome exhausts, redesigned interior, here are the points of evolution of this 595. The small Italian bombinette always offers an excellent compromise between sportiness and simplicity. It is under the hood that the small Italian evolves the most. She now carries the new 1.4 T-jet 165 hp engine.
Thanks to the Garrett turbocharger, the performance of this 595 is revised upwards. Abarth announces a top speed of 218 km/h and the 0 to 100 km/h is covered in 7.3 seconds. Also note that the model will be equipped with a 7 inch touch screen with the Apple CarPlay system.
For the 595, Abarth offers two special packs. First the pack “Turismo”. In this pack the mirrors will be in satin chromelight alloy rims Granturismo will be 17 inches, the upholstery will be black or brown and a special badge will be displayed on the body.
The other pack is named “F595” and is aimed at sports driving enthusiasts. A whole new exhaust system Record Monza Sovrapposto at four outputs is proposed. The exhaust valve can be controlled by the driver. Of the 17 inch alloy wheels and a badge F595 are also added.
The ever stronger 695
This new Abarth 695 is even more aggressive than previous versions. With its 17-inch alloy wheels and its exhaust system “Record Monza”, this 695 is not discreet. There, too, the 1.4 T-jet engine was installed. But he develops on this model 180 hp (for 250 Nm of torque) with a maximum speed close to the 225 km/h. The 0 to 100km/h is done in less than 7 seconds. Performs very slightly higher to those of its little sister, which could disappoint some enthusiasts.
This model is equipped with the braking system Brembo. The interior is all Alcantara and carbon fiber. The gear knob is aluminum.
There also two packs “Turismo” and “Competition” are offered. The pack “Turismo” is equipped with 17-inch rims, seats with different colors and a special badge. A glass sunroof can also be added.
The version “Competition” is performance oriented. Here too the system Record Monza Sovrapposto has been added. This model is also equipped with seats sabelt for a reinforced support.
Question price, this new range MY22 is displayed from €22,990. The most advanced version, the 695 Competitionwill it be available from €27,990.
With these two new models, Abarth presents two small sports cars with a strong character. The characteristics of these two cars fit well with the brand’s slogan: “Small but mean”.
